Dette er en litt anderledes kokebok laget av Mette Møller, mammaen til den norske landslagspilleren i fotball Mats Møller Dæhli.
I had the privilige to design the book Footballmat (Soccerfood) with the subtitle - Healthy and tasteful for everybody who exercise. Two of my favourite interests - football and design - what could be better than that? This is a slightly different cooking book made by Mette Møller, the mother of the Norwegian soccerplayer Mats Møller Dæhli. In this book she is the chef, writer, the interviewer and the photographer.

SPOR / Fritt ord var en fast spalte i Dagbladet Magasinet. Jeg var fast illustratør for denne spalten fra 1999 (som etterhvert endret navn til Fritt ord) til den ble avsluttet (for mitt vedkommende) i 2013. I 1999 startet også min karriere som illustratør for mer enn skrivebordskuffen og plastmapper i kjellerboden. Spalten har gitt plass til flere av Norges viktigste stemmer, som hver og en har vært og er verdt å lytte til. Blant annet har Willy Pedersen, Erling Sandmo, Finn Skårderud, Thomas Hylland Eriksen, Erling Dokk Holm, Einar Øverenget, Unn Conradi Andersen og Liv Finstad fylt spaltene med tanker og underfundigheter som jeg har fått lov til å illustrere. – Hvor da?
– Der ute.
– Nei, det gjør du ikke. Det er for langt. Du ser det ikke!?
– Eh jo. Nei, jeg veit ikke.
– Jeg ser det. Amerika. Bak bølgene. Kan du se det?
– Ja! Nå ser jeg det.
– Skal vi dra?
– Hmm veit ikke. Må spørre mamma først.
– Du kan jo ikke svømme engang. Hvordan skal du klare det?
– Jeg kan ta båt?
– Pøh! Du kommer aldri til Amerika.
– Jo når jeg blir stor og kan svømme da skal jeg dra.
– Det tror jeg ikke noe på og dessuten kan jeg ikke se Amerika så. Og det gjør ikke du heller!
– Jo det kan jeg det så. Jeg ser bedre enn deg fordi gamle får dårligere syn når de blir eldre så! Og jeg skal lære meg å svømme etterpå når bølgene blir borte og da kan du stå her aleine om du ikke vil være med?
– Pøh jeg gidder ikke å være med deg og jeg skal si til mamma at du juger. Dessuten så er det for kaldt vann til at klarer å svømme.
– Samma det , jeg kan i hvert fall se Amerika og det kan ikke du.
I am a collector. I collect things. … Maybe I can use them someday - was the thought. Use the items in a another setting. Combine and merge. This #EA-collection is mainly items and things that have been collected over some years. Some scrap, some junk, found in dumpsters and hidden along the roadside, laying out there in the woods - abandoned and maybe lost. The items come from an old cabin, from a shed, scrap in the garage or down in the cellar … It is everywhere and there is nothing. Now I have started to combine them to create abstract images and installations. #EA refers to an old Norwegian fairytale of a man who in the end manage to win a princess heart and half of the kingdom because he could not pass an item without thinking of it as a treasure. So these images are recycled shit put together in order of giving it a new and longer life.
A piece of leftoverwood from the kitchenbench, hammered, shaped and stylished with some rusty, dusty, scrappy pieces found in different places, locations and sites. Inside and down in the cellar, inside an old box, outside in the garage, out in the woods, down by the seaside in the ashes from a burned out driftwoodfire, … and along a road coming from or leading somewhere or somewhere else …
Another piece of wood, leftovers from the kitchenbench. I have had for more than 30 years a female upper part “torso” ones used by a clothing store to dress. I have had in mine that it could be used to create or incorporate in a artwork or something sometime somewhere. And there it was. After a montage with acrylic, blue painting, more acrylic and pieces of steel from the bathroom curtain, and draped with the copper from old electricity wires - the Avatar finally emerged.
An old door turned out to be the ultimate canvas. Just laying there, outside under the roof in the garage just waiting to be thrown and scrapped in a green container. But I could see that there was some breath left in those wooden lungs, a weak pulse in that old doors heart. After a couple of strokes with some leftoverpaint, a little work with an hammer, some nails, screws, pins and metal-steelparts from wherever. Then… this imaged appeared - with an afterlife and with an healthier pulse.
I found this old frame in the dumpster. It used to be a mirror but there was nothing left to see. I had some spraycans in the garage and turned the frame black. The background of the mirror that now reflected the front side with no reflection became a canvas with white acrylic splattered and shaped - and then - “painted” with a chopstick. The front have now a new glass - the innside of the frame is lightened with LED. In RGB-flash mode or just as singular white or any of the other colours that you prefer. With light the image changes and lives.
